Aunt charlie’s last call

Short Drama | Pre-Production

it’s humanity’s last call.

San Francisco, in the very near future. An asteroid is hurtling towards Earth. humanity’s fate has been sealed. There's no power. No water. No news. No doctors. There's no law. No cops. No one to stop anyone from unleashing their worst before the end. And the worst is all around us.

All that's left to do is find a safe place with our most important people and make the most of the time we've got left. How would you spend your final hours?

For Leo, a sensitive and people-pleasing drag performer, he’s been given the finale performance at his favorite and safest place: Aunt Charlie’s — the OG drag bar in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district. But he can’t settle on a song that fits.

In fact, he can’t settle at all. The end is near, there’s violence outside, but somehow the performance must go on? It doesn’t make sense. Nothing makes sense, especially since there’s so much he didn’t get to do in this life. So many things, and goodbyes, he never got to say.

Will Leo be able to accept what is and find the joy in his final moments on stage?

Last Call is a grounded sci-fi film that deals with heavy subjects like death, destruction, and violence. But much like drag, it defies those concepts by celebrating life, music, and authenticity.
